3 ALsS. In the second letter to a friend, he writes of family news, especially of his son, Fred. In reference to the Royal Commission formed to encourage English art, he writes: "If Sir Robt. [Peel] can, he will give a fair opening to British Genius--if Royal Will interferes, for an unfit favourite--we must submit." The third letter is a curt request that his correspondent return two letters to him: "Upon mature reflection, I will not publish either one of my letters--as long as I live, I shall do as I like."
